Nice and cool start up Devil’s slide at about 7 AM. Took our time to Saddle Junction. North to first junction with Strawberry Cienaga just a few smaller snow fields very slushy in the PM. Still not too bad getting to Round Valley Junction with scattered snow fields on the North East side. After that several LARGE snow fields to the peak 9,800ft to the top almost still entirely covered. Trail is marked and footsteps can be found, but be very careful as the snow is soft and will give way easily to postholing. Slight scambling from the cabin to the peak. Over all a very challenging hike with some difficult circumstances with a healthy amount of fun!
