A Perfect Day

Peak Mt Wilson
Group N/A
Trailhead Old Mt Wilson Trail, Sierra Madre

Blue skies. Cool temps. Very few hikers. Lots of blooming flowers at lower elevations. Plenty to drink thanks to the Water refill station next to the Cosmic Cafe. Return via the mostly shaded Mt Wilson Toll Road, where it sounded like every bird in the front range of the San Gabriels greeted my passage. It doesn’t get any ‘perfecter’ than this. Had myself a ball, though I didn’t exactly put my feet up–eight hours of walking by the time I got to Eaton Canyon.
