I guess I like torture because I was back on Mount San Jacinto less than a week after completing Adventure 16’s 3-peak challenge!! I completed the Sierra Club’s Wilderness Travel Course (WTC) program earlier this year and joined my awesome group on a long day hike up to San Jacinto this past Sunday. The trail conditions were great, there was just one or two sections with just a little bit of snow (easily passable). Weather on the peak was fantastic. Overall, a great day was had by all!!!
Nice! I was thinking about taking the Sierra Club WTC. Would you recommend it? And what was it like?
Hi Kevin! I would absolutely recommend WTC to anyone who is even remotely thinking about it. I am SO confident in my hiking and backpacking skills now that I have taken WTC. AND I have a great group of friends who also love the outdoors. It was such a great experience. There are weekly classes for 10-weeks combined with 4 outings.
