Hiked San Bernardino Peak via the Forsee Trailhead. We were unable to get wilderness passes for the more popular route, but this one was awesome. Quite a long hike and started out fairly warm, but as we were summiting the peak (about 1 pm) a hailstorm started! It was incredible. The first two hours of our way down were occupied by loud thunder and pouring rain! Final 3 miles were sunny and warm again. What a treat to add to a great hike. Absolutely wonderful trail, too.
