Peak Mt Wilson
Group NASSCO Hiking Club
Trailhead Upper winter creek trail

The conditions were great and the temperature was mild. When we were out in the sun on the climb up it was a little warm, but very nice. We started towards Hoegee’s Campground, to get our spot, and headed for the summit at 10 AM, via the Zion Trail. After reaching Sturtevant Camp, the real challenge began, the trip to the summit. From this point the climb was relentless and unforgiving, straight up and no pity on the weak. This was definitely one of the more difficult hikes we have completed to date. We clocked a total 23 miles and 50K steps. Happy Trails!
