Oh how I've missed thee, San B. 011017 . After Limber Pine followed snow shoe tracks on compacted snow until it started going back down. Then headed straight up the mountain, which was hard snow and icy. Some parts sank ankle deep, while others I stayed on top of the ice. Was able to practice some crampon techniques, like duck walk, it was steep and slick most of the way. Anyone been up here recently? I have a wilderness pass for Sunday, but no equipment if there’s snow. Is there any? Hoping it’s late enough in the season I’ll be able to start hitting trails with out cramp ons or poles. Thanks.
