Resupply options

I plan to do the entire JMT.

I know I cannot carry enough food without resupply and I know I will resupply at the Muir Ranch. I may opt for 1-2 other resupply points ( resorts, PO, etc). so what are the bet 2-3 resupply places where I will walk the minimum amount of miles in order to pick up my mailed boxes? so in other words, what are the fastest resupply points mileage wise…not to include Muir Ranch?

Here are the ones I used:

• Tuolumne Meadows PO — pretty much right on the trail
• Reds Meadow — also pretty much right on the trail
• VVR — off-trail, but well worth it on many levels
• Muir Trail Ranch — We used this one, too

Anything else is going to be a long hike out to a trailhead, and then either caching food in a bear box and hoping no one steals it, paying someone to meet you there, or hitching a ride down the mountain into town.

Jeff do you know much about what outfits that I can pay to resupply me at Kearsarge Pass? I am thinking I may have trouble packing 10 days of food out of MTR. Thinking of a back up plan just in case.
