    Hello all!
My friend and I are coming from Canada to Sacramento for a business trip in February. We are avid hikers/canoers and are looking to do a 4 day hiking trip somewhere in California.

I have been searching all the national parks and forests and feel a bit overwhelmed with all the options and lack of information on he national park websites.

We have considered Yosemite but I heard the main road to get in the park is closed in the winter. Same with Mendicinco Forest. We have also considered doing the Rae Lakes loop in the Sequoia Kings Canyon.

Can any of you give advice on where a good place to hike in February? Is it too
Snowy in most places to even consider going? Is Southern California better in February than northern?

We are looking to see some amazing vistas with mountains in the background and so forth.

    Thank you very much
