    Hey y’all! I am planning a vacation for myself and the littles on Mt. Lassen (NorCal) and am planning to steal away for a day to do some major hiking. I was hoping to conquer Lassen Peak and Brokeoff mountain trail in the same day. Does anyone have any experience with either of those trails? Is it possible?

    I don’t know about Brokeoff Mountain, but Lassen Peak has about 5 feet of snow at the trailhead (8,250′) as of 7/26/17. Are you knowledgeable, experienced and equipped for winter mountaineering?
