Hey everyone,
I am looking for a short (1-4 mile) and steep trail in Orange county to train for a Grand Canyon hike. Also interesting in lesser known trails or routes. Feel free to contact me offline if needed. Thank. Chris

Chris, here’s a short steep one: Small Peak.

The Las Ramblas trail in San Clemente has some kick-ass hills, too. Try hiking it with a fully-loaded backpack for an even more intense strength-building workout.
