Is San Gorgonio open for hiking? (10.11.13)

I’m wanting to hike San Gorgonio from poopout hill. Is the mountain open?

I was there last weekend and while the Vivian trailhead parking lot was closed the Momyer lot was open, not sure if they can close that one actually. People were still hiking up from both trailheads.

Not sure if that helps for your trip other than knowing that people are still hiking the mountain.

The trails are definitely open. The trailhead parking — if it’s behind a gate that can be closed — will most likely be closed and locked. If you can park down the road and hike a little further to get the trailhead, you’ll be fine.
