My planned climb of Mount Rainier has been postponed to next year. Events like the Climb for Heroes and the Fools Traverse have been postponed.

Do you have a trip that has been cancelled or postponed due to the Coronavirus? Are your plans at risk of being cancelled or postponed?

Have a permit for Tuolumne Meadows to Happy Isles July 5. then another hike planned for Cathedral Lakes area July 10-12. Figuring Yosemite might not be open yet. Luckily we have a permit for Rae Lakes loop Aug 3 and Duck Pass to TM Sept 19. Hoping at least ONE of the hikes happens!

I think for sure the Rae Lakes Loop you’ll be good for, and possible the Yosemite trip.

Andrew Skurka just posted a thoughtful post about “When can we safely return to backpacking?” that touches on what might be different when things start to reopen.

Discuss: When & how will backpacking be safe & feasible again?
