Vivian Creek 6 am start at first light, as I have never been so do not want to start in the dark. Slow and steady up esp on steeps and above 8500-9000 ft. Hope to go faster returning. Minimal time at peak; my sole purpose for this hike is to bag San G, which is my 6th peak.

Pls let me know asap if you want to join.

Hi, Did you make it? If not, I’m in for the next Sunday if you are still interested. I will probably have a couple of friends who may join us that day. We also, haven’t hike San Gorgonio. Please let me know. Thanks.

Hi Rina and ty for your post.

I did go via Vivian but was not able to get to the peak in time so had to turn back as I was over my watch distance to peak based on map and Jeff’s writeup, with no clue how far or how steep trail was the rest of the way. I started later and moved slower than expected, especially at the really high elevations closing in on 11K, where we were sub one mph. It was my first time that high, so I was super cautious even though I was fine on the other 5 peaks.

A friend from Wilson had messaged me about going Thursday 9/21, but I haven’t heard back yet and gale force winds are forecast so idk. If that doesn’t pan out, ty so much and I’d love to join on Sunday! What is your start time and expected pace? You are so sweet – I really appreciate your post!
