Cucamonga Trailhead Camping

No surprise, the ranger station isn't picking up the last three times I called. Anyone know the situation with Manker Campground near the San Antonio and Cucamonga (Icehouse) trailheads? Webpage on USDA says closed for the season and no explanation why.
