JULIA COZBY is a co-founder of TerrestrialResearch.org, a nonprofit using science as the basis for protection and conservation of archaeological sites and significant natural resources. She has been in the outdoor business since 1996, starting out as a 4×4 guide at Grand Canyon National Park. From 2000-2006, she co-owned and operated a gear store and guide service in Escalante, Utah, and has since worked as a web site and internet marketing consultant for bed and breakfast inns, law firms, architectural firms and archaeology firms from 2001-2012. She has been a contributing author, production coordinator and site map drafter for archaeological reports, written articles for newspapers, outdoor publications and web sites, and has been an avid hiker and camper for decades. She is also the owner/editor of TrailDirt.com.
