Burnin’ for San Bern!

June 10th 2017 was a perfect hiking day!! Two layers was all that were needed and one of those was shed after the first mile. But don’t forget your sunscreen like I did, I’ll leave off the fotos of my Bernardino burn, even a snow lounge won’t cool that off lol. Moving warmed us up quickly but if you stood still too long it was a little chilly. Patchy snow was rare at this point in the season and it was easily crossed. The company I was hiking with was great and that made the ascent a breeeeeze! And, I didn’t have as difficult a time as I thought I might 🙂 The previous peaks in the SixPack must be whippin’ me into shape! San Bernardino Peak and I are now friends with a healthy respect for each other <3 <3 The top was crowded and we spent more time than we intended there but those VIEWS though, I couldn't get enough! Coming down was bitter-sweet for me as always, leaving one wilderness in the world and returning to the wilderness inside my heart….
